The Brief

Our approach centered on maximizing the unique structural features of the property—specifically the dramatic sunken lounge and the expansive glass-roofed sunroom. By blending rich textures with integrated technology, we have created a home that feels both expansive and deeply comforting.

A modern architectural statement, this zone features a deep-seated, U-shaped velvet sectional in olive green. Recessed LED strip lighting along the oak-clad steps and perimeter provides a warm, amber glow that accentuates the change in elevation, creating an inviting, subterranean sanctuary.The design balances the coolness of large-format stone flooring with the warmth of chevron-patterned walnut wood paneling. A plush, high-pile shaggy rug and a mix of mustard and sage scatter cushions introduce a "refined yet lively" tactile experience. The media wall serves as a stunning anchor, utilizing customized cabinetry with brass inlay and ambient backlighting. This is mirrored by the functional elegance of the sunroom’s integrated power points and minimalist lighting, ensuring the space is as practical for work-from-home days as it is for evening cocktails.

To celebrate the natural light of the sunroom, we designed a bespoke floating banquette. Upholstered in a soft dove-grey suede, the seating is integrated directly against a focal wall featuring ethereal floral mural wallpaper, bridging the gap between the interior comfort and the sky above.
